In case you missed it over at the Craft blog, this is an excellent tutorial for performing a ladder stitch. A stitch, by the way, that comes in handy as a closing stitch and for repairs. Leslie Bonnell's video is very clear and includes neat little tricks like how to hide your knot. Link

I recently bought a second hand sewing machine at a garage sale with the intention of repairing clothes and making my own scooter/motorcycle seat covers. A year ago I never would have thought I would be interested in sewing, much less commenting on sewing on a blog. LOL
