English Ladies Knit Their Village

A group of sparky ladies from Mersham Village in Kent started knitting "scale" models of buildings in their town over 23 years ago. They have completed almost sixty pieces, including a cricket pitch and surly teenagers smoking cigarettes. Get busy New York, you've got a lot of catching up to do. link

  4. I'm so glad you appreciate how truly wonderful this knitted village is! Referring to the above anonymous comment, why is it people who write negative comments can't bring themselves to identify themselves, frightened they might get negative comments themselves, perhaps?! I've just found your blog, and it's fascinating, and wonderful.

  5. Thanks, Vanessa! In truth, I don't mind negative comments. It gives me a chance to restate the philosophy behind DudeCraft.
