Jules Undersea Lodge

Ok, it's not really a craft in the sense that anyone could decide to build an underwater lodge and then do it, but it is awesome! Also, it does have that "two kids with a crazy idea and a passion for something" feel about it. I'm not even a diver and I want to visit the place! This from the site:

"Just to enter the Lodge, one must actually scuba dive 21 feet beneath the surface of the sea. Jules’ really is underwater. Diving through the tropical mangrove habitat of the Emerald Lagoon and approaching the world’s only underwater hotel is quite an experience. Even from the outside, Jules’ big 42 inch round windows cast a warm invitation to come in and stay a while, relax and get to know the underwater world that so few of us have even visited."
link Let me know if you've gone there. I'm dying for a first hand account of the place.

  1. Call Richard Dreyfuss and Tony Curtis! Let's get the band back together for another under-water wig-out!

Youtube "Hello Down There" to get a look at that swinging 60s undersea pad...

  3. Stayed there as a family of five for a night in July 2007 and earned the JUL Aquanaut certification. A crazy awesome experience, super service, had pizza and scuba tanks delivered, woke up to fish looking into our stateroom. Unlimited diving right outside the moon pool. Loved every minute and will do it again sometime. This year we did the half-day marine biology experience in the MarineLab habitat right next to Jules. That was way cool too. Go for it. - TNNAUT
