Yarn Forward

Rachael sent me a really nice email laying out the particulars of an ongoing project by ArtYarn, involving knitters and crocheters from across the globe. The project consists of small knitted or crocheted pieces that are then wrapped round the 1st Floor banister of the Manchester Craft and Design Centre (see photo above). The project runs until December 2009 and you can view the Yarn Forward blog here, to see how the project is progressing.

Newest Update: The submission deadline has been extended to December 2009. You can send your piece here:

  2. We apologies for causing confusion on this matter.

The Yarn Forward project has created such a buzz in Manchester and beyond that the lovely Kate and Kelda at the Craft and Design Centre have extended the deadline to DECEMBER 2009!

So there is still plenty of time to participate in the project and knit or crochet a strip to join the others. It also means that your work will be displayed throughout the year in this most beautiful building alongside some truly wonderful creations and crafters

It is our regrettable oversight that we hadn't updated the information fully on our blog. And we assure you that this error has now been corrected.
