Literal Treehouse

Originally for use by the Tasmanian Forestry Service, this literal treehouse is now for sale on Ebay for a cool $12,000. It's going to need some work, but for the enterprising do-it-yourselfer, seems like a bargain for 450 square feet of pure weirdness. More photos here.

  1. Ha ha, I'm actually from Tasmania - maybe I should buy this & move back!

  3. What will you do to prevent termites and squirrel gangs from ransacking your tree home?

  4. Faith - I think it's actually made of a space aged polymer. I'm sure it's critter-resistant. Thanks for the comment!

  5. Oh I just had to laugh at Faith-Magdalene!! Not only are there no termites in Tassie but precious few squirrels too. Wrong end of the earth...
Fabulous little house - did it sell?
