Design Legend, Saul Bass Featured on TCM

My good friend Joe just hipped me to the fact that Turner Classic Movies has a nice little feature on graphic design legend, Saul Bass (1920-1996) over on their front page. This from the article:
"His titles are not simply imaginative identification tags; when his work comes on the screen, the movie itself truly begins," said director Martin Scorsese of Saul Bass, the graphic designer and animator who revolutionized movie title sequences and turned them into an art form."
If you aren't familiar (gasp!) with Bass' work, you owe it to yourself to check out any one of the many films he did the title sequences for. They are truly spectacular. Go to Turner's site for more information about screenings.
