Grafitti Removal - The Subconscious Artform

I found this brilliant little doc/mock-umentary over at Wooster Collective this morning; it's premise being that the square and rectangular "cover-ups" that you see, dotting the urban landscape, have become an important subliminal art movement that is poised to become a new form of abstract expressionism. Interesting.

  1. I LOVE this! It is funny and cheeky, but also really beautiful. I have looked at those squares of paint before, and thought of them as beautiful, and perhaps even photographed the odd one. So I really enjoyed and 'got' what the filmaker was saying. I think I'll be showing this to my students!

  2. Luhlahh - Oh, thank goodness. I thought I was standing alone on this one. I love it too! Thanks for the comment!
