Mini LP Gift Tags from Paul Overton on Vimeo.
I always try to add a little bling to the outer wrapping of any gifts I give and, this year, I decided to make up these mini LP gift tags to add a little something to everyone's presents. I also decided that you might want to do the same, so I filmed a tutorial on the process and made all the files available to you for free at the link below. As usual, leave any questions in the comments section and I'll be glad to do my best to answer them. Good hunting!Download graphic files and templates here.

Those are *adorable.* I'll have to pass this on to my mother, this is exactly the sort of thing she loves to do.
Another fantasticly executed and fascinating video, Paul! :) (and showing off more tools I want to own....)
These are completely captivating and fun--yet another project I can do with my students. Thanks, Paul!
But how do you stick it to the gift now so that it still shows off both sides?
Thanks for the comments all! I hope you enjoy making them. They're pretty fun and easy.
Jake - I'd get some glue dots and just stick the record down by its corner onto the package. You won't be able to see both sides, but at least when you remove it from the package, it won't harm the back and then the giftee can enjoy both sides.
Very Cute! I particularly like the grungy sleeve and I love your record covers.
I think I'll personalize cover designs for the recipients, print them full size on heavy paper and include an art print inside as a gift. Thank you for sharing an excellent idea.
I showed your site to someone else and we both think your logo rocks.
These ROCK...thanks for sharing...
Coolest craft I've seen in a long time. Awesome!!
Marie, Bridget, Tracey - Glad you like. If you make them, do send pics along. I'd love to see what you come up with! Thanks for the comments!
Paul, these rock! I can't wait to share your post on my blog!
Thanks Grace! I'd be honored to be on your blog!
Nice. (Photo corners would be a way to attach it where it would be easily removable. Or a needle and thread up through the middle top, back down and then tied in a little knot inside to make a hanging loop before it gets glued together - then they could be ornaments too!)
Karen - Yes! Thanks for the suggestions!
These are SO RAD!! I saw them on CRAFT this morning, and in my haste, didn't even realize they were yours. Well done, Dude. I freaking love them.
Aw, thanks DG! I appreciate it.
This is such a fantastic idea. Thanks so much for sharing!
Kristen - You are more than welcome. Hope you have fun with them!
this is so fantastic, thank you!
Heidi - Your welcome. Enjoy.
this is genious. i have an album loving, jukebox owning husband who is going to love seeing thse on his gifts. thanks so much!
SplendorFalls - Sounds like your husband and I have a lot in common. Good luck and thanks for the comment!

Lisa - My pleasure. Have fun! Thanks for the comment!
I am IN LOVE with this idea! I love all things tiny!!
DUDE! This is seriously fantastic. I always wonder how to make my presents for my guy friends more...male...or should I say Less prissy. This is so fantastic because all the guys are either in their 40s and thus grew up with records (like me), or they are younger and finding records again through the whole indie movement. Thank you so much!
Leisa - Thanks for the nice words! Good luck!
Your on-screen presence is fantastic. If only I were a televison producer...
My husband (also a crafty dude) will be thrilled when I pass your site onto him (after I present his Christmas gift with one of these snazzy tags, of course).
This is awesome. Thanks for the files and the great video!
Jenni - Thanks so much for the kind words. Did you hear that HGTV? I have "presence". Jenni said so.:-)
Yay! This is awesome! Thanks for sharing all your hard work:)
This website is so much more enjoyable when you add these how-tos. Thanks!
Anonymous - Thanks for that. I'm going to try to keep it up.
Love it! Just popped over from Poetic Home. Look forward to perusing your site more...
Easy Does It - Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
These are fantastic! I'm glad I've stumbled across your site. Now I'm off to check out what else you have and I'll definitely be back for more.
I could fill both sides with my thoughts on how cool these are. LOVE. THEM. They're perfect for so many people in my life. Thanks tons, I'll be linking.
Thanks Rachel!
Thank you for sharing this. Really fun... ;-)
Ribambins- Thanks for linking on your blog! It's awesome, BTW.
thanks, the tags are awesome! love your blog too.
Love this idea like crazy! My husband is all about the LPs, so this will be perfect for his gift. I downloaded the files, but it seems there's something wrong with the "inner sleeve" part -- it looks like some of the image (the "holes") are missing. Maybe the files corrupted?
Faith - One other person had this problem. I don't know if there's a fix. Doesn't happen on my iMac. Maybe try downloading to a different computer? Good luck.
Hmm, I'm using my MacBook Pro, which is my only computer. I'll see if I can download it somewhere else though -- or maybe just not use the inserts. Thanks!
Faith - I can send you the PDF I have of the file when I get home around 10 if that would help. Email me so I have your address.
I can't download this either.
Awesome!!! I love your designs, and love that you added the blank template to customize. Just made one for Julia's birthday. Cianna and I were talking about how much we love your site. The tutorials are put together really well, I love the sound effects and editing on this one. Thanks for the great personal touch! Best, Megan H.
Thanks Megan! I appreciate the support. I hope Julia liked the tag!
She loved it!!! As well as the other party goers. I'm guessing you'll get a few more downloads. THANKS!
Oh. My. Gosh! This is brilliant...and will be perfect for my '63 Lincoln-driving, uber-retro daughter's gifts! Thanks!
thanks for sharing Paul! I will link to this on my blog tomorrow:
