That is, if you celebrate Christmas. If you don't, I hope your having a fabulous day off, and if you're stuck at work, I'm truly sorry.
I managed to not buy anything new this year. I knitted and sewed a few things and I totally scored at a vintage shop in Richmond last weekend to knock off the rest of my list. Let me know what crafty thing you gave or got in the comments.

I'm a crocheter, so I made lots of gifts - shawls, fingerless gloves, toys, A scarf with skulls, a pillow with Prince's face on it for my fanboy husband. I also sewed a quick blanket and made some garden markers like those seen here: http://www.reesedixon.com/2008/08/herb-garden-markers.html
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try my hand at some of your paper cutouts soon. You have a wonderful blog! Thank you!
I gave...
ReplyDelete-a necklace with eleven tiny hand-bound books on it
-four neckalces with just one tiny book each
-a larger book, which has been collecting signatures for an instructor who is retiring
-a set of X-acto knives, big clear ruler, self healting mat, and circle cutter. (She asked for the knife and mat a month ago. I told her that she was activating the Paper Gene and there was no going back. She looked at me as if I was crazy and said "What Paper Gene? I just want to make a couple of cards." She then saved the wrapping paper from the box. I laughed.)
I got:
-gift card to the most-frequently hit craft store!
-14 colors of Fimo. Soon I will know if I prefer Fimo or Sculpey!
-Polymer clay project book
-a gorgeous spinning organizer. Hexagonal design, well-sized spaces... sucker holds a LOT
all the "got" list was from my parents. They know me well...
I made a print of mine into a t-shirt for my little brother :)

First comment from me by the way, but I've been reading your blog for a while now. Great stuff!
