Every Page of Moby Dick Illustrated

More and more "blank-a-day" blogs seem to be cropping up all the time, but of much greater interest to me is something like Matt Kish's, One Drawing for Every Page of Moby Dick blog. Employing found paper, paint, colored pencil, and ink, Kish has, thus far, made it up to page 124. I really hope he makes it all the way. The only thing that could possibly be more daunting than reading Moby Dick, has got to be drawing it.

Thanks to Kate for turning me on to this!

So glad you like it! Blank-a-days aren't usually this interesting, though I do like some blogger-photographer's 365 day projects.

Thank you Paul (and everyone who commented), this is all so strange and wonderful. I deeply appreciate the encouragement and the feedback. I swear that barring death or major illness, I will indeed fight my way to completing all 552 illustrations. It is at times terrifying, exhilarating, maddening and lots more, but it is also a bit of an obsession.

Matt - No, thank you for attempting this super-human feat. I'd be entirely surprised if there wasn't a book deal waiting at the end of this project. That is, if that's what you want. At any rate, keep up the good work. I think you gained a bunch of new fans today.
