How to Crochet a Granny Square

Pip, from Meet Me at Mike's and Make and Meaning fame, has been busy making videos and step by step instructions on how to crochet a granny square. These little buggers are fun to make and are an excellent place to start for beginners. Pip's videos are very clear and feature enough repetition so you can really "get it", even on first viewing. Great resource. Thanks, Pip!!

  1. My [Grand] Mama taught me to sew, knit and crochet.

The sewing - got it - do it for a living.

The knitting - got it - even stitches - near perfect tension.

Crochet - very very sad. We started with the mandatory grannie squares. I was off to college 33 years ago with Clemson appropriate colored yarn and hooks. For my life I could not make 2 squares come out the same size!!

Maybe now that I am (much) older and have more patience I can try again. Thanks for the link!
