Liminal Air

This installation by designer, Shinji Ohmaki uses 123,000 nylon strings hung from the ceiling and, in his words: "they constitute air materialization giving it a weight and making us understand what usually surrounds us that we usually don’t perceive…". Yeah, well, not what I was thinking, but it does make me want to run around in it like a crazy person.

  1. I went to this! It was awesome fun, if a little claustrophobic. I love interactive art, it's so much more accessible

  2. I agree, I'd have a hard time not running through this like a madwoman. Love it.

  3. This would be something fun for kids (or kids at heart) to play in.

  4. This was at the biennale in Brisbane. It was both fascinating and fun, and terrifying. There was a room at the end with a glass wall, it was also a lot of fun to sit and watch other people in the space.
