The Windmill Bed

When I'm not sure what to say, I usually indulge in vague appreciation with a phrase like: "Well, isn't that something". This windmill bed is something. Made of reclaimed walnut, galvanized water troughs and a six ft. windmill headboard, this labor of love took home the coveted “best use of materials” award at the Cody High Design show at The Buffalo Bill Museum recently. You can see a bevy of like pieces if you take a trip over to the Legendary Heirlooms site and gander at their catalog. Wow!

  2. Just thinking about the smell and feel of galvanized metal as a bed makes my skin crawl. And knowing the nasty stuff used to make galvanized I would not want it part of my sleeping arrangements. Nice idea but not for me, thank you.
